In 1967 Jimi Hendrix burned his stratocaster at his first major American debut at the Monterrey Pop Festival. He set down his favorite strat, a 1966, and then grabbed a cheaper one to burn. This is a recreation of that famous 1966 guitar that Jimi loved. All nitrocellulose finish black over sunburst on the body, amber vintage lacquer on the neck. An ancient relic to feel and sound like a guitar that is 49 years old should. Alnico vintage hand wound pickups and vintage aged Kluson tuners combined with the alderwood body gives mary a KILLER tone. Frets have been crowned and polished with hand-rolled edges making for an even and in-tune playing up and down the neck. This left-handed guitar is set up to play right handed so you can feel how Jimi did while playing. The wind cried... "Mary"
